1. What is Non-Emergency Medical Transportation?
NEMT representsNon-Emergency Medical Transportation. NEMT is an important benefit for passengers who need to get from point A to point B. Some people rely on family and friends or local community organizations to transport them. If these options become limited, NEMT is the resource that you can rely on. If you do not have dependable transportation you can benefit from East Valley Rides. It’s a great option for patients who do not need emergency care but whose health needs require frequent and accessible transportation to health providers and medical services. *In case of emergency dial 911.
2. Do you have to be disabled to ride with East Valley Rides?
No. However; the disabled and elderly are our top priority because their resources for transportation are quite limited.
3. What is the drivers criteria?
- CDL not required
- Valid Drivers License
- Clean 5-year motor vehicle record
- Zero tolerance alcohol and drug policy
- Criminal background check
- Fluent English speaking
4. What are your vehicle standards?
- Rear entry wheelchair access
- Our drivers adhere to strict company guidelines
- Cleaned and disinfected after each passenger
- Routine maintenance on all vehicles
- ADA compliant
5. What are your scheduling guidelines?
For best availability, please call (602) 706-9646 24 hours in advance to assist in scheduling. However; we can often accommodate your ride within a few hours.
6. Is there a charge for additional passengers?
No. In fact, one additional person can ride along. Care-giver, spouse, family member, friend, and a service animal are able to ride along at no additional charge.
7. What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy requires customers to provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for ride cancellations. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior will receive a refund equivalent to half the fare. However, failure to show up or cancel within 2 hours of the scheduled trip will result in the full fare being charged.
8. What type of payments do you accept?
We accept most online payment methods i.e. Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, as well as most major Debit and Credit Cards. Payment is due before or at time of service. * We do not bill insurance companies directly.
9. Is your company for hire?
Yes, you can hire our company privately. We will accept most credit cards for corporate or medical facilities upon request. i.e Dialysis, wellness checks, casinos, excursions, physical therapy, fashion outlets, grocery stores, hospital discharge, banks, nail salons, and other errands.
10. What areas do you service?
We service Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, Florence, Casa Grande, Surprise, Sun City, Goodyear, Avondale, Sun Lakes, Maricopa, Apache Junction, Globe, and Glendale, just to name a few.

We can assist you with minor courtesies, however; we will not shop for you, provide grooming services, caregiving duties, financial transactions, patient registrations, laundry services, person care, and no additional in-between stops that are not scheduled. *As all of these extra duties are time consuming and will affect the schedule of the next passenger.
